In March of this year I had a Cateract removed from my right eye. After my 1000 Mi. inspection we went to England where I decided that I could see to drive without any glasses on so I quite wearing them and drove there with my new eye.
When we got home I went for my 10000 Mi inspection. Dr Liu asked me how I felt and I told him that I was so happy that I want my other done ASAP he said we will do it in the Fall.
In Oct I went for my Pre Delivery Inspection then on Oct 14 I went to the Hospital and had my Left eye done. It was actually a fun time, I joked with the nurses in the O.R. and they joked back. The subject of my being married for 55 years came up and 1 nurse said that's a long time with 1 person which lead to other jokes.
The point is that they made it fun. The actual operation took aprox. 10 or 15 min. They do it while you are completely concious. The only problem is, I fell asleep and started to snore, which eventually everybody started joking about it. When they took me into the recovery room they asked Mrs. G. about me snoring at home, which I quickly denied.
On Oct.15 I went for my 1000Mi. inspection and everything is great.
So now I have artificial ears and artificial eyes, I wonder if ??----oh never mind.

Thank heavens you said "never mind" ... I was already covering my eyes so I wouldn't have to read it. [shudder]
I think there are shops that sell what you're talking about.
