Around the world we hear of Military Copes taking place, one example of course is Afganistan. It is a group of people who want to overthrow the Government for their own gain, most people think that it is wrong.
So in Canada we now have a Cope going on. We have a group of people trying to overthrough the legally elected Government with no thought of the fact that it is a Cope. We have many Canadians agreeing with it saying it is good because they don't like Stephen Harper, for what ever reason they have and are therefore in favour of a Cope. To hell with Democracy and to hell with the fact that he was elected as Priminister, overthrow him, kick the bum out. Maybe the next Cope will require more violent methods BUT it's a start!!!
I believe that the rest of the world is watching and saying we're no better than anybody else in the world spite of our bragging about being so great and respecting the rights of others. We have stooped to the level of allowing a Cope to overthrow the elected government.
It is lead by a person who, in my opinion, is the Sneakest scoundrel in Canada. If this guy had been the Priminster of Canada in 1939 I believe Hitler would have won the war because he would not have wanted to get involved, he would have wanted to negotiate as did Nevil Chamberland meanwhile Great Britain would have stood alone. He has already said that the Canadian troups should have been pulled out of Afganistan and that he would pull them out leaving Afganistan to stand alone. Then he would send Canadian troupes in as Piece Keepers. He apparently believes that the Teleban (sp) would accept them as friends.
He makes an alliance with a group who are dedicated to the destruction of Canada for his own gain then when asked a question about a statement made by that groups leader, as to how they will benifit greatly in their cause, his reply was "you will have to ask him".
He next cons the leader of the oposition into aligning with his plan knowing fullwell he will be happy to be caller priminister, as temporary as that will be because his party wants rid of him.
With this guy's attitude and the Liberal's attitude toward the U.S.A. who are our biggest trading partners, if I were the new president, I would say like so many Canadians ,
To Hell With Canadian Democracy, who needs it, HAVE YOUR COPE.

Yeh I voted conservative proudly. I hate all these hippie losers. They are know better then these other countries and it makes me sick when i think about it. In my apartment I have a British flag and an american flag, the canadian one went up when mr harper was elected but as soon as those sneaky hippies get in it will be taken down just as fast. I am a proud Canadian and love this country which i am willing to fight for but with those little goofs in there would be nothing to fight for
Actually the world is not watching as closely as you would think. The story didn't even make the Financial Times (one of the world's most prestigious newspapers) yesterday.
Also regarding overthrowing democracy. It is a fundamental part of the Canadian democratic system to allow a coalition government formed by the opposition parties if the elected government doesn't have the confidence of parliament.
Steven Harper attempted to do this very same thing in 2004.
Harper only got elected because we have too many parties and he only holds 37% of the vote of Canadians.
The Canadian democratic system does not end on voting day, there are systems to protect the people from government and those systems have always put minority governments at risk when they act like rogue states as Steven Harper is doing.
Just because you support him doesn't mean Canadians do.
This is not a coup, it is the parliamentary system of democracy at work. And it's entirely legal.... coups are not.
Nick, just for the record, it was the "hippie losers" the sent our troops to Afghanistan in the first place.
If you are only a Canadian when the party of your choice is in, then you are not really a Canadian at all.
I'm proud to be a Canadian every day of my life. And the flag of Canada would always stand before the flag of U.S.A. (although as a member of the British Commonwealth the Union Jack would receive almost equal respect to the flag of Canada.)
Here is a list of the Governments in power for the following wars:
WWI - Conservative
WWII - Liberal
Korean War - Liberal
Somalia - Conservative
Afghanistan - Liberal
Seems to me we share are wars equally between parties, so both the Liberal and Conservative people in Canada clearly will stand up and fight to protect freedom.
Also, regarding pulling out of Afghanistan, to be clear, Hamid Karzai has requested the NATO countries announce their departure date from Afghanistan.
So we are remiss in our duty? Even Afghanistan is ready to begin planning for a future that doens't include war.
I don't know what you mean by Rogue, presumably if Liberals had got a minority,because you voted for them, that would be ok even if they followed it by misplacing a few more million dollars in some unknown persons pocket which appears to be normal practice with the Liberals. OR worse still if jack layton managed to sneak in to make everybody equal.That would be equally poor except jack layton of course, he will just pocket the money.
Don't forget the money that Brian Mulroney took financial advantage of when he was in the Prime Ministers position and he was Conservative.

I would never class myself Conservative or Liberal i go with which lyer i like and that little school yard dweb Stephane Dion was running this country at a time of war we would be viewed as bigger cowards then the french in WW2 lol.
And i wouldn't be getting in the army if they were on they would under found the military again.
When the liberals were in I spoke to the English army to see about getting in they sent me recruitment forms and were more then willing to help me more then are liberal army lol. The british army returned phone calls gave me information and didnt discriminate seeing I was on the smallest charge possible. I came to realise that this is my country so I should do my fighting here instead of there. The sad thing is when another country treats you better and is willing to look past a small michief charge and your country will not lol
I'm with you Gryper. Most of the comments I have read and the people I have talked to are very anti-coalition. Let's hope the GG takes into consideration what the majority of Canadians want.

In my youth I went to alot toughter places then the Canadian army. My training is more vigorious then anything you could imagine. If a coward like you could last longer then 1 minutes in a ring or cage iwht me I would be pleasantly surprised. Untill then hide behind your anonymous status GOOF!!!!

Yes our county as every country on the globe are in a crises situation. But I just can't understand why everybody is arguing over it....Every politician is a liar they tell people what they want to hear and then and they say "oops".....The two big problems in the world are religion and goverments. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions whether it be right or wrong, it's their opinion. The key word is "their" my friends.
